The first decade for the College of Pharmacy (COP) began in the summer of 2011, when the inaugural class celebrated the opening of the Morningstar Interprofessional Education Center (IPEC).
Members of the COP Class of 2015 are pictured with founding dean Gloria Meredith, PhD, cutting the ribbon for a new skills laboratory in IPEC. The college went on to host its first White Coat Ceremony on Sept. 9, 2011, and students began participating in annual flu-shot delivery to the community in 2012. Established as the northernmost pharmacy program in Illinois, COP prepares PharmD graduates to enter the field as the drug and dosing experts on healthcare teams at community pharmacies, hospitals, industries and research labs.
