Accreditation
The medical education program leading to the M.D. degree at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is fully accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), with the most recent award received in March 2021 for a full eight-year term. The next full survey visit is scheduled to take place during the 2027-2028 academic year.
The LCME is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the accrediting authority for medical education programs within the United States leading to the M.D. degree. Students and graduates of medical education programs accredited by the LCME are eligible to take the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). Graduates from institutions whose programs are accredited by the LCME have unrestricted eligibility to enter graduate medical education programs accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
All degree and certificate programs are approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
