This program was created for current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) who wish to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. This program, which builds on the competencies and achievements of your master's degree education as a nurse anesthetist, is completed online, making it convenient from any location and for any schedule. It is ideal for the working CRNA, and has been designed as a part-time program of study that can be completed in 24 months.
Movement to the DNP degree is consistent with the transition of the profession from a master's degree preparation to clinical doctoral degree preparation. By 2022, all nurse anesthesia programs in the U.S. must exclusively offer a doctoral degree for entry into the profession.
Our completion program provides educational opportunities to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities CRNAs need to keep up with the ever-changing expectations of modern healthcare. The DNP curriculum is designed to provide foundational concepts in a multitude of areas including health policy, leadership, outcomes management and healthcare finance, all with a nurse anesthesia focus.
When you enroll to complete your DNP at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS), you become part of a program that is known across the country for its success. If you're ready to be at the forefront of your field, it is time to earn your DNP at RFUMS. We invite you to join us in charting your future.
