Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Transition Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the graduates will:

  1. Utilize best evidence in physical therapy practice.
  2. Optimize screening patients for medical disease and dysfunction.
  3. Gain an understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and apply knowledge to their patients.
  4. Understand and utilize best practices in patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and integumentary disease and dysfunction.
  5. Understand and utilize basic principles and interpretation of imaging modalities in physical therapy practice.
  6. Complete an individual, independent learning experience with a faculty advisor.
