Dr. Kenneth Wind hails from New York and is a board certified pathologist.  He is currently affiliated with Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Chicago, where he also serves on the ethics committee and as the medical director of the blood bank.  

Dr. Wind earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1992.  He then completed his medical residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Chicago in 1997, during which time he also served as chief resident.  His first professional position was at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.  He has worked at St. Joseph Medical Center since 1998.  He was the associate medical director of quality for Alverno Clinical Laboratories in Hammond, Indiana from 2014-2017.  

Dr. Wind met his wife, Robin (a board certified internist) at the Chicago Medical School in 1988.  They married in 1992, and recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.  They are the proud parents of three wonderful children and a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.  Dr. Wind loves his job and has been encouraging RFUMS students to consider a career in pathology at every Operation Meds since its inception.  He is excited to now serve as a Learning Community Mentor and Clinical Reflections faculty for Emanuel House.
