Sean P Kane, PharmD

Assistant Dean for Assessment, Associate Professor

Sean P. Kane, PharmD, BCPS, Assistant Dean for Assessment and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, joined the university in August 2012. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 2010. In 2011, he completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency, and in 2012 he received board certification in pharmacotherapy and completed a PGY-2 critical care residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Currently, Dr. Kane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois with a clinical practice site at Advocate Condell Medical Center’s intensive care unit in Libertyville, Illinois. Dr. Kane is the creator and co-host of "HelixTalk", Rosalind Franklin University's College of Pharmacy Podcast.

Research

Dr. Kane’s research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning, podcasting as an educational tool, septic shock, pharmacokinetics in critically ill patients, and IT-based clinical decision support.
