Assistant Professor

I am a Maine native who moved to the Midwest in 2004. I have three adult children and four grandchildren. I have an undergraduate degree in Art Education, with a Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree related to human experiences of spirituality and multi-faith, multi-focal practice of ministry. At the University, I teach collaborative teamwork, particularly centered around interprofessional practice and the TeamSTEPPS framework. Collaborating with outstanding colleagues, we utilize a creative paragogy of active learning events to explore optimization of team performance and the experience of being on a team, building on the learners’ reflective and critical thinking skills. I am also passionate about seeking equitable solutions to our social, economic, and environmental challenges.
