Grant Writing Assistance Program
Grant wRiting Assistance Program (GRAP)
GRAP is designed to support individual investigators in developing successful grant applications for external research funding through NIH, NSF and private agencies. Created in 2013 by Dr. Barbara Vertel and the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research, we specialize in one-on-one assistance in the areas of application strategies, organization, design, clear and focused communication, and editorial evaluation.
A successful proposal will tailor your specific program to suitable funding opportunities. We will work closely with you from the very beginning stages to organize a viable grant preparation strategy and help you to translate your ideas into a fundable project with clear and concise hypotheses and specific aims. Attention will be given to optimally aligning your proposal with specific granting programs and review panels through the development of the research plan. We will provide a high level of personalized interaction, feedback and editorial support necessary from the initial stages to grant submission. After your application is reviewed, further support is available to interpret and respond to reviewers’ comments and prepare a resubmission.
Contact Drs. Ronald Kaplan at Ronald.Kaplan@rosalindfranklin.edu and Barbara Vertel at Barbara.Vertel@rosalindfranklin.edu to arrange for assistance. Be sure to make contact early in the process so that you can maximize available support.
