Statistical Assistance
Two faculty members at RFU with advanced statistical expertise and may be contacted directly.
- Steven A. Miller, Ph.D., PStat(R), CStat is an associate professor in the psychology department and an Accredited Professional Statistician through the American Statistical Association. He is also a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society where he is a Chartered Statistician. Dr. Miller is familiar with numerous statistical packages (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, etc.). He is adept at learning new programs and has also helped in the development of statistical software. He has consulted with individuals from numerous fields and has helped with both grant planning and analysis. He is also open to being included on grants submissions as well as collaborating on publications. He has reserved statistical consulting hours (sometimes remote via Zoom and sometimes on campus) on Tuesdays from 1 - 5 PM and may also be available for appointments. Additionally, the Statistical Techniques and Training Society (STATS) is Rosalind Franklin University's student chapter of the American Statistical Association. Student members are available by appointment to serve as statistical consultants for all members of the RFU community. STATS has received various university-wide awards for the breadth of consulting services provided throughout the RFU community, including the Outstanding New Student Organization Award (2020), the Outstanding Student Organization Award (2021), and the Outstanding Educational Service Award (2021).
